The collaboration began with Jingyi’s participation in the group exhibition “On the Other Way” in Barcelona, where her tactile, materially driven practice entered into dialogue with artists from diverse cultural and geographic contexts. Reflecting on this experience, Jingyi notes that the collaboration felt “less like a single project and more like a process of being carefully accompanied, listened to, and taken seriously.”
Throughout the collaboration, Sensity Studio worked closely with the artist to refine her artistic narrative and long-term positioning. This process included the development of a coherent personal brand strategy, a comprehensive social media audit, introductions to international galleries, and securing interviews with media outlets such as Authority and Autre Magazine.
Central to the collaboration was a shared commitment to female empowerment and authenticity. As Jingyi reflects, working with the Sensity Studio team created “space for reflection and clarity,” enabling her to articulate a more defined artistic position while remaining true to her individual voice.
Looking ahead, several significant projects are already underway. Among them is Jingyi Li’s upcoming solo exhibition at Absent Gallery, which will focus on the intersection of a centuries-old European bobbin lace technique with Chinese craft traditions. This forthcoming exhibition marks an important next step in her artistic career.
We are confident that this collaboration represents only the beginning of Jingyi Li’s artistic trajectory and look forward to continuing to follow and support her future work.
