“On the Other Way” brings ten women artists into Barcelona’s spotlight

Sensity Studio successfully opened “On the Other Way,” a four-day group exhibition at the Hub/Art Gallery held in parallel with the Barcelona Art Week. Curated by Alisa Lisovskaia with co-curator Celia Leiva Otto, the show brought together works by ten women artists, presenting untold stories and alternative perspectives that challenge dominant narratives in contemporary art.

We are especially proud that three of the participating artists came from emerging art markets — Iran and Pakistan — making the opportunity to amplify their voices both urgent and deeply meaningful.

The exhibition featured: Anna Antonova, Christina Arark, Exantres (Alena Rakova), Ghazal Abbasi, Jingyi Li, Lilina Diaz, Molood Jannesari, Ramsha Rubbani, Sabīne Šnē, and Yana Medow.

On Saturday, September 20th, Liliana Díaz García presented her performance “Sobremesa,” an activation merging sculpture, nourishment, and audience participation. Following the performance, the table became a space for dialogue and interaction.

The exhibition, which closed on Sunday, welcomed journalists, artists, gallery owners, and art enthusiasts. It was featured in the cultural agendas of Arte Informado, Guia BCN, Hoy Barcelona, and Exibart, among others.
